Well-Being
What is Well-Being?
At this naturopathic medical practice, we honor the body's innate capacity to heal and recognize the inseparable connection between body, mind, and spirit.
In a well-being appointment, we will work collaboratively to explore the factors in your life that have prevented your body from functioning at its optimal state. Together, we'll identify and address key determinants of health, including:
Nutrition and physical activity
Breath and nervous system regulation
Restorative sleep
Interpersonal relationships and community
Spiritual connection, purpose, and intention
Genetic or constitutional factors
If appropriate, we may incorporate laboratory testing to investigate potential root causes of imbalance or illness.
Your treatment plan will be tailored to your unique needs, values, and goals, and may include a combination of:
Diet and lifestyle guidance
Nutritional supplementation
Prescription medications (when appropriate)
Referrals to other trusted providers, as needed
Wherever you are on your wellness journey, we will meet you there with presence, respect, and care. Want to learn more about how Dr. Elleanor Smith Naturopathic Medicine can support your individual healing journey?

Yes. Our approach is grounded in respect, presence, and collaboration. We recognize how past experiences, especially those involving trauma, can shape physical and emotional health. You are always in control of your care, and we move at a pace that feels safe and empowering.
-
We’ll begin with a conversation about your health history, lifestyle, and goals. From there, we’ll explore possible root causes of imbalance and begin co-creating a care plan that feels both supportive and achievable. You’ll leave with clear next steps and a sense of partnership in your healing journey.
-
After booking your appointment, you’ll receive intake forms to complete ahead of time. These help us make the most of our time together. If you have recent lab work or medical records, please send those in advance as well. Otherwise, just come as you are, no special preparation necessary.
-
At this time, we do not accept insurance for any of our services, including well-being appointments. While some flexible spending accounts (FSAs) or health savings accounts (HSAs) may reimburse for well-being appointments, we encourage you to check with your provider. If needed, we’re happy to provide documentation or a superbill for reimbursement purposes (please note there is a fee for superbill preparation), however, we cannot guarantee that services will be covered by your insurance provider.
-
We offer both. In-person visits are held at our clinic, while virtual appointments are available for those who prefer the convenience of telehealth. We’re happy to discuss which option may be best for you in a free consultation call.
